Air Fryer, Homemade 5 Ingredient Bread–Homemade Navajo Flatbread

I know that bread is hard to find right now. I came up with this recipe, that only requires 5 ingredients (most of which you have on hand in-home). It is easy to make and requires very little effort on your part.

My kids loved it with a salad, which we had last night, they even helped me make a few of them.



  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 1/4 cup of lukewarm water
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Olive oil and flour


  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, water, oil, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Mix well. Scrape the sides of the mixing bowl.
  3. Let rest for about an hour.
  4. After an hour, place the dough on a floured surface and sprinkle some flour on the rolling pin and roll out. (The exact size that you need will depend on how big your air fryer is)
  5. Spray your air fryer tray or basket and set the dough on top, generously spray with olive oil on top. Set the temperature to 340 degrees F, for 5 minutes (air fryer setting) after 5 minutes, flip the bread over and spray again and then air fry for another 3-5 minutes.
  6. Plate, serve and enjoy!
