How to Make Air Fryer French Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t met a cookie that I haven’t liked. The only problem with cookies, though, is the waiting for the oven to preheat and then for them to bake! The anticipation can drive you crazy!

Once I learned that you could make cookies in your air fryer, I couldn’t wait to try it for myself. Now that I have, I am hooked! There are so many different varieties that you can make! The possibilities are truly endless!

Some of our favorites are these Blueberry Cookies, my Peanut Butter Cookies, and these copycat Mrs. Fields White Chocolate Chip Cookies are amazing!

If you have an air fryer and you’ve never made cookies in it before, this now has be on your To-Do List for this weekend!

Why This Recipe Works

This recipe works because it’s easy. You probably already have a cake mix in your pantry as well as the ingredients in your fridge, and who doesn’t have 10 minutes to put this recipe together?

Expert Tips, Ingredient List and Suggestions for Recipe Success

  • French Vanilla Cake Mix – any brand
  • Canola or vegetable oil
  • Eggs – large
  • Any additional ingredients your cake mix calls for

I spray the parchment paper with non-stick cooking spray. I have learned that if you don’t, the cookies will stick to the paper, and you will NOT be able to get them. You ask, how do I know? (I tried and failed 2x before I came to that conclusion)

Here are some additional tips for making the perfect cookie, in or out of the air fryer:

  • Always read the recipe before you start. This way you ensure that you have all of the ingredients.
  • Assemble all of the tools that you will need before you start. Once you start making cookies, your hands will get nice and gooey.
  • Use the correct pans, making cookies on different pans, required different cookies times and temperatures. This should be noted in the recipe.

I think the most important tip when it comes to making cookies in your air fryer is this: KNOW YOUR MACHINE!

Additional Air Fryer Cookie Tips:

  1. Start at 320 degrees F

Since I want my food to be moist, soft, and delicious, I have found that this is a great starting point. Then adjust as needed. Start slow and work your way up.

  1. Put 2 cookies in to start

Since every machine is different and will result in cookies done at different times, start off with two at a time until you know how your machine will do. Once you know

  1. Write down what works for YOUR machine

When you find the sweet spots for your machine, write it down on a piece of paper and stick it to your refrigerator. That way, you always know.
