A classic steak dinner, today’s recipe features, Air Fryer Flank Steak With Mushrooms and Onions.
The cut of the steak I actually purchased is called a Bavette Steak, which in French means Flank Steak, and so since we do not live in France, I have decided to call it by it’s American name.
A Bavette steak is really a piece of steak that is adjacent to the flank steak. It has the same great taste and marbling.
Air Fryer Flank Steak With Mushrooms and Onions
Steak Ingredients:
- 2 Bavette Steaks or Sirloin Steaks, about 10 ounces each
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
Sauteed Mushrooms and Onion Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 pound mushrooms, diced
- 1 onion, peeled and sliced
- salt & pepper to taste
Simple Steak Directions:
- Let your steak rest on the counter about 20 to 30 minutes before air frying.
- Rub olive oil onto the steak and season with salt, pepper, or your favorite steak seasoning.
- Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
- Place your steaks into the air fryer, air frying for about 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Check your steaks with a meat thermometer before removing it.
- Let your steak rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Top with Sauteed Mushroom and Onions.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!
Sauteed Mushrooms and Onion Directions:
- Add olive oil to the skillet, and then place the sliced onions, saute for about 5-8 minutes.
- Add your butter, Worcsestirere sauce, diced mushrooms, and salt and pepper mix well.
- Continue to saute for about 5-7 minutes.
