Today I made a really simple snack for my family, homemade Air Fryer Empanadas.
If you are looking for a really simple recipe, this is it. This will answer the question of how to fry empanadas in the air fryer. I used ground turkey, but obviously, traditional beef will work as well.
Empanadas In the Air Fryer
Ingredients:
- Ground Turkey
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Sweet Paprika
- Cumin
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Tomato sauce
- Biscuit Dough
- Egg
- Water
Simple Directions:
- Start by browning the ground turkey (or beef) in a large skillet, add ground cumin, sweet paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well as you brown up the meat.
- After the meat is browned, please remove it from the heat, and pour the brown meat into a small bowl, mix in the tomato sauce.
- Roll out the biscuit dough and cut it into circles, about 4 inches wide.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of meat into the center of the circle.
- Sprinkle some cheddar cheese on top.
- Fold the empanada in half and use fork tines to seal the edges.
- Spray your air fryer basket with olive oil, and then set the empanadas into.
- In a small bowl, mix the egg white and water and brush on the empanadas with a pastry brush.
- Set the temperature to 350 degrees F for 6 to 9 minutes.
- Remove when cooked.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!
