Air Fryer Copycat Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad — Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad is a favorite of many and is usually ordered as an appetizer. However, one can easily recreate the dish by using Air Fryer Copycat Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad. This recipe takes 30 minutes or less to prepare and cook! It tastes just like the real thing but it’s three times as healthy because there are no mayonnaise-based dressings in this dish.

Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad
One of the most beloved salad’s served across America in the popular chain restaurant, Applebees.
Today, I made the exact same salad with the help of the air fryer. The chicken was breaded just like the famous salad and served over an Asian salad. On the side, I even had a homemade Oriental Vinaigrette Salad Dressing.
Ingredients Needed In Air Fryer Copycat Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad

There are three parts to this salad, the Chicken, Salad and the Applebee’s Oriental Salad Dressing:
Chicken Ingredients:
- Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
- All-Purpose Flour
- Salt
- Granulated Sugar
- Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Egg
- Milk
Salad Ingredients:
- Romaine Lettuce
- Red Cabbage
- Napa Cabbage
- Sliced Almonds
- Green Onions
- Shredded Carrots
- Crispy Rice Noodles
Oriental Salad Dressing Ingredients:
- Granulated Sugar
- Rice Vinegar
- Mayonnaise
- Sesame Oil
- Toasted Sesame Oil
- Dijon Mustard
How To Make Air Fryer Copycat Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad

Spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Start By Making The Chicken: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
In another bowl, mix together the egg and milk, mix well.
Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture.

Add your coated chicken into the air fryer basket, spray generously with cooking spray. Set the temperature to 360 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway.

How To Make The Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad: While the chicken is cooking, make the salad in a large salad bowl mix together the lettuce, cabbage, shredded carrots, green onions, crispy noodles, and sliced almonds.

To Make The Oriental Salad Dressing: In a small bowl, mix the sugar, rice vinegar, mayonnaise, sesame oil, toasted sesame oil, and Dijon Mustard.
To Serve, add the sliced chicken breast on top of the salad, and drizzle with the salad dressing.

HOW DO YOU STORE LEFTOVERS?
If you have any leftovers, let them cool to room temperature and then place them in an airtight container. Place the container into the refrigerator. It will last about 2 to 3 days.
TO REHEAT LEFTOVER CHICKEN TENDERS
Place in the air fryer and set that temperature to 330 degrees F for about 3-4 minutes per side.
CAN YOU FREEZE HOMEMADE CHICKEN TENDERS?
Yes, these make a great recipe to freeze. Like you can buy frozen chicken tenders, you can make a batch of these and freeze them.
Follow the instructions in the recipe card below, and then let them cool to room temperature, then place on a greased baking sheet and pop the pan into the freezer. When they are frozen solid, transfer the frozen tenders to a Ziploc bag or an airtight container, and freeze. They will last about 1 to 2 months.
To cook from frozen: Place in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes at 390 degrees F, flipping halfway.

This is one of the Easiest Air Fryer Easy Chicken Tenders Recipe. It is so easy to make, and my kids love it. It is tender, juicy, and flavorful, all the things you want in a good chicken tender recipe.
Chicken Fingers are one of the most asked dishes at my house by my kids. My kids are dippers. They love to dip everything they eat. (Like Most Kids, I am sure)

AIR FRYER CHICKEN TENDERS

INGREDIENTS:
- Boneless, Skinless chicken breasts, either buy them as they are or cut them into long strips.
- Egg
- All-Purpose Flour
- Panko or Breadcrumbs
- Salt
- Black Pepper
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER CHICKEN TENDERS

Add flour to a bowl.

Place your egg white in a bowl, and then whisk, until frothy.


Add Panko to a bowl.
Clean and cut the chicken into tenders.

Coat the chicken in the flour.


Then place the floured chicken into the egg white.

Then coat the floured, egg white dipped chicken tender into the Panko Crumbs.
As you prepare them, place them into your basket. Then follow the directions below and coat them with EVOO spray.

CAN YOU PUT RAW CHICKEN IN AN AIR FRYER?
Yes, and it’s really easy!
Just place your raw chicken into the air fryer basket. Set to temperature to 350°F; and cook 15 minutes, flip the chicken halfway,
Then use your meat thermometer and check to see if the center of the thickest part is cut (at least 165°F). When the thickest part of your chicken reaches 165 degrees F, remove the chicken until it’s fully cooked.
HOW DO YOU MAKE TYSON CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS IN AN AIR FRYER?
Place the frozen Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips into the air fryer, then set the temperature to 390 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 10-12 minutes.
About halfway through the cooking process, flip the chicken with a pair of tongs, remove when heated through.

Air Fryer Copycat Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad

There is nothing better than an AIR FRYER COPYCAT APPLEBEE’S ORIENTAL CHICKEN SALAD. Made with crispy chicken and a great Oriental Salad Dressing. This makes for a great and quick lunch or dinner!
Ingredients
Chicken Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 tesapoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
Oriental Salad Ingredients:
- 2 Cooked Chicken Breasts, sliced
- 6 cups romaine lettuce, shredded
- 1 cup red cabbage, sliced
- 1 cup napa cabbage, sliced
- 1 green onion sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup crispy rice noodles
Applebee's Oriental Salad Dressing Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
Instructions
- Spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray.
