- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream

INSTRUCTIONS
Start by peeling the apples.
Then dice the apples into bite-size pieces. As you cut them, add them to a small mixing bowl.
Make the pie filling, in a small mixing bowl, combine the apples, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Mix well, making sure all of the apples are coated, then set the pie filling aside. Then turn your attention to the pie dough.
Add your dough to the pie plate and then fold down the crust to make it fit the pie pan, otherwise just got the extra crust off.
Fill the pie crust with the pie filling.
Make the top layer, I used this cute mold.
Then place the top layer of pie crust on top of the pie filling, press the edges down, so they do not hang over.
Add the sparkling sugar on top.
Place your pie plate into the air fryer. Set the temperature to 320 degrees F, for 12-16 minutes (air fryer setting)
Note: The exact time of the pie is going to depend on the type of air fryer you own, and what pie plate you are using.
Some Tips When Making An Apple Pie in Your Air Fryer–
- Make sure that the pan is not too thick, otherwise, it will never bake.
- If you find that you are having problems with the bottom cooking, simply add that unfilled pie into the air fryer, and air fry that first (until golden brown)
- Make sure all of your apples are the same size (about the same size) they will cook evenly.
- Buying the correct pan is KEY for baking in the air fryer. I can not stress this more. Too thick will never work.
