Air Fryer Butter Cake

This is one of my favorite air fryer cakes that I have made. And with the holidays coming up, I really wanted to write a new post and share some of my thoughts about baking cakes in the air fryer. Today, I made a simple Air Fryer Butter Cake.



  • 1 cup room temperature unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk


  1. Start by mixing the butter and sugar. Once you have a fluffy mixture add the eggs one at a time.
  2. Add the vanilla extract, and slowly add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and milk.
  3. Pour in the buttermilk.
  4. Mix well until well blended.
  5. Spray your cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Set the pan into the air fryer basket or on the tray, and set the temperature to 320 degrees F for 12 minutes.
  7. After 12 minutes, stick a toothpick into the center of the cake, and if it comes out clean, remove the cake pan. If you need more time, add another 10 minutes.
  8. Frost and decorate.
  9. Plate, serve, and enjoy!
