Air fryers are all the rage lately, and for good reason. They make delicious food with little to no oil. This beef gyro is a perfect example of how an air fryer can take a classic dish and make it even better. The pita bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the beef is cooked to perfection. You’ll never want to eat a regular gyro again!

I love gyros. I have always loved them. They are made with slices of beef, mixed with middle eastern spices, and either grilled or air-fried until juicy and tender. Today, I made a simple version of my homemade Air Fryer Beef Gyro.

Today, I made a quick version with tender cuts of steak, mixed with a simple spice mixture, and then layered on some garlic labneh sauce, and then served it in pita bread.

It made the perfect quick lunch. My kids loved them. Next time, I will do a traditional gyro and serve it with sliced onions and mushrooms.

If you are not familiar with Labneh sauce it is found in the international supermarket in the refrigerator section. If you can not find it, simply use Greek Yogurt. It is simply thicker than yogurt.
