How To Make Air Fryer Cherry Pastry

Cut the crescent dough with a knife

Start by greasing your muffin tins.

Crescent Dough in A muffin Tin

Measure your muffin tin, and cut the crescent dough slightly larger than the hole, remembering that you will fold it over.

Cherry Pie Filing in Crescent Dough Fold Over

Scoop some pie filling into the middle of the dough. Fold over the dough, so you make a nice pocket. Sprinkle with the sugar mixture.

Set in the air fryer tray or basket and air fry for 6 to 8 minutes at 320 degrees F, air fryer setting. Let rest. After you remove them from the air fryer, remember they are hot!!

Pro Tips:

  • This recipe can be cooked in any Air Fryer Basket or Oven Model. I have made these several times in the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and even the Mealthy Lid.
  • The key is to cut the dough so that it’s slightly large enough so the dough folds over. If you cut the dough too short, you can still make the recipe. Just make them as crescent cups instead.
  • The filling can be changed out, for any of your favorites, including blueberry, peach, blackberry, and even lemon pie filling.

Some Other Variations:

While today, I used a simple cherry pie filling, there are so many options that you can make, some great ideas:

  • Blueberry Pie Filling
  • Blackberry
  • Lemon Pie Filing
  • Apple Pie Filling

What Pan To Use In The Air Fryer?

To make this recipe in the Air Fryer, you will need a muffin tin or silicone muffin liners. Either will work, although I prefer the sturdiness of the metal muffin tin.

While we all have a muffin tin in our pantry or cupboard, they often do not fit in the Air Fryer. Some great options are: (affiliate link included)
