There is nothing like a great sub for dinner, today I made a great batch of Air Fryer Chicken Sausage with Peppers and Onions. Amazingly delicious!
This is one of my favorite meals in the air fryer, it’s simple, but it’s delicious. And there is nothing like a one-pot meal for ease and easy cleanup.
I made everything in the air fryer, including the sausage, peppers, and onions. The sausage was perfectly cooked, and the peppers and onions were perfectly roasted.
This will work well in any air fryer basket or ven, today I used both the Power XL and Ninja Foodi, and they worked well in both.
How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Sausage With Peppers and Onions
Ingredients:
- Onions
- Yellow Bell Pepper
- Red Bell Pepper
- Orange Bell Pepper
- Chicken Sausage
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Black Pepper
Simple Directions:
- Start by slicing the chicken into small strips., the onions, peppers, place in a large bowl.
- Add the olive oil, salt, and pepper, mix well.
- Add all of the ingredients into the air fryer basket. Try to make it a single layer, so it all cooks at the same time.
- Set your temperature to 400 degrees F, and the time for 7 minutes
- After 7 minutes, shake the basket, and toss the peppers, with tongs. Add another 7 minutes.
- After the additional 7 minutes, place the chicken sausages directly on top of the peppers and set the time for another 5 minutes.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy! (I used a sub roll if you are gluten-free or KETO just cut the sausage up and serve with the peppers and onions)
