Everyone loves the version I made several years ago, where you fill them with cream cheese and wrap a slice of bacon around them.
But today, I changed my recipe out and made a simple version that my family had at a local restaurant. There they deep-fried them, so I thought I could totally air fry these. And the results were truly amazing!
There is a great trick to make these KETO and Low-Carb Friendly below so that everyone can enjoy them!

Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers

- Jalapenos
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Cream Cheese
- Diced Cook Bacon
- Salt
- All-Purpose Flour
- Eggs
- Panko Breadcrumbs
How To Make Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers

Start by cutting the jalapenos in half. Then, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon, and salt in a small bowl.

Fill the sliced jalapenos with the cream cheese mixture, and then add the two sides together to close.

In one small bowl, add the flour. In another small bowl, whisk the eggs with a fork, and in the last, add the panko bread crumbs.
Dip your jalapenos into the egg mixture, flour mixture, back into the egg mixture, and finally into the Panko Breadcrumbs.
As you coat the Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers, place them into a greased air fryer basket, set the temperature to 375 degrees F, air fryer setting, and cook for about 10 to 12 minutes. For best results, spray the coating of the jalapenos with cooking spray, which will help them crisp up.

- This is a great recipe that works well in any Air Fryer Basket or Oven Model. I have made this several times in the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Mealthy Lid.
- The cooking time will depend on how large your jalapeno peppers are and what type of air fryer you are using.
- You can adjust the heat the with either removing the seeds, if you want your batch of Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers spicer keep a few seeds in the jalapenos, which will give them some heat. (spice)
How To Make Jalapeño Poppers Ahead of Time
This is a great recipe that you can easily make ahead of time. You can either make them as directed or prepare them and then cook them when ready to serve them.
To store them, let them cool to room temperature, and then cover with saran wrap and place them into the refrigerator. Reheat them in the air fryer, set them into the air fryer, and reheat at 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, until warmed through.

How To Freeze Jalapeño Poppers
This is a great snack or appetizer that freezers really well. To freeze, let them cool to room temperature, and then place them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and place into the freezer until frozen solid.
Remove and place them into a freezer bag or freeze safe container. They will last for about 2 to 3 months.
YOu can easily cook from frozen by placing the frozen Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers into the air fryer basket and cooking until warmed through, at 360 degrees F, air fryer setting. The average time will be about 10-12 minutes.

This recipe can easily be changed out to both a Keto and Low Carb Friendly Recipe. The simple substitution of panko breadcrumbs for a low-carb option is a great recipe to eat while following the plan.

This is a very easy recipe that you can prepare in an oven, Deep-Fryer and Air Fryer.
To make, place them on a baking sheet, place the baking sheet into a preheated oven at 425 degrees F, and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until fully cooked.

- 8 large jalapeno peppers
- 1 cup room temperature cream cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs (or KETO alternative)
