Crispy and delicious Air Fryer Coconut Shrimp. Truly Amazing they make the perfect quick meal or a great appetizer for any get-together.
My kids absolutely love any shrimp dish, and air frying the shrimp makes a simple and fast meal. Perfectly seasoned and the coconut does a great job crisping up in the air fryer.
Air Fryer Coconut Shrimp
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut
- 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and you can leave the tail on
Simple Directions:
- In one bowl, place the flour. In the next bowl place the eggs and in the third dish place the coconut and panko bread crumbs. (mix the bread crumbs and panko together)
- Then dip the shrimp first into the flour, then into the eggs, and last in the panko and coconut mixture
- Spray the inside of your air fryer basket with cooking oil. Then as you coat the shrimp, place them directly into the air fryer basket.
- Spray the shrimp generously with olive oil spray. It will give it a nice color and a better texture.
- Set your time to 400 degrees F, for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes flip the shrimp and set the timer for another 3 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp, season with salt and pepper.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!

TIPS FOR PERFECT AIR FRYER COCONUT SHRIMP-
To bake shrimp in the air fryer, here are some helpful hints:
- Pat The Shrimp Dry– Use paper towels to remove any moisture, this is really important if your shrimp were frozen and have been thawed.
- Toss With Oil– Except if you are using a marinade, toss your shrimp with oil until the shrimp are evenly coated.
- Arrange in the Air Fryer Basket– It is really important that the shrimp are in an even layer, without being crowded.
- Season–Generously season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Know When They Are Done- When you pop them into the air fryer basket, make sure to keep a close eye on the shrimp to be sure that they do not overcook. You are looking for a bright reddish-pink color.
- Serve– As soon as the shrimp are ready to go, remove the air fryer basket and shake them onto a serving dish, hot shrimp are the best!
