How To Make Stovetop Stuffing in Your Air Fryer — Stovetop stuffing is a classic Thanksgiving dish. It’s warm, and comforting, and pairs well with the roasted turkey. However, it can take up an oven rack that could be better-used to cook pies or sweet potatoes! This year try making stovetop stuffing in your air fryer! The result is just as tasty, and you’ll have more room in your kitchen to enjoy the holiday feast.

Do you want to make a delicious and easy stovetop stuffing without the hassle of using your oven? This recipe is made in your air fryer so that it will be easier than ever before. With just a few simple steps, you can have dinner ready for all of those holiday gatherings!

Now, before you think about why did she do this, the question I always start with, is can I do it? My son loves stuffing. Even in July, he loves it, so I’m always making it as a side dish, sometimes I make it homemade, sometimes, I find this stuff on sale and stock on it, cause as most of you all know, I’m a busy momma.

So, I thought if I could make stove top stuffing in the bird, why couldn’t I bake it? And I think that most of us can agree that it tastes way better in the turkey than in the microwave, so that is what I started thinking about. How do I make it creamy without the bird dressing? So this is what I did.

This will be a huge time saver for Thanksgiving when you could have it all prepped and ready to go, and all you have to do is air fry it for a few minutes. And the results are excellent!

This recipe elevates up traditional boxed stuffing. It’s creamy and delicious on the outside and crispy on the outside!

It’s so good!

STUFFING VS. DRESSING

No one can disagree that Thanksgiving dinner is incomplete without stuffing. The dish has been a tradition for centuries, and there are many variations of this recipe. One may be inclined to ask, “What’s the difference between stuffing and dressing?”

Stuffing is actually when the dressing is stuffed inside of the turkey. But, over the years, it has been called stuffing, even though Stove Top boxed stuffing is dressing unless it’s placed into the turkey!

Either way, it’s delicious and makes for a great side dish!

HOW TO MAKE BOX STUFFING TASTE GREAT

There are so many ways that you can make this classic dish even better!

Some great suggestions:

Boxed Stuffing: Some of my favorite brands, besides Stove-Top, are Pepperidge Farm Country Cube Stuffing, Trader Joe’s Gluten-Free Stuffing, Whole Foods 365 Multigrain Stuffing Mix, Trader Joe’s Cornbread Stuffing Mix, and even your local store brand.

Spices: Add some fresh herbs, poultry seasoning, or even some dried herbs.

Water: Instead of water, use chicken broth or stock.

Some Add-Ins:

Some great additions that you can toss in for a complete meal or an elevated side dish are:

Protein: Add some cooked turkey or chicken for a one-pan stuffing and chicken! So good and easy! Make sure that the chicken or turkey is fully cooked. You can also toss in some cooked ground Italian sausage or cooked bacon!

Nuts: A traditional Thanksgiving favorite, add some diced pecans or walnuts for a great texture and treat!

Dried Fruit: Nothing says Thanksgiving like some dried diced cranberries or apples! A great addition!

CAN I MAKE STUFFING AHEAD OF TIME?

Absolutely, but since this batch of stuffing takes no time to make, you can easily make it on the same day! This way, it’s fresh.

If you have any leftovers let the stuffing cool to room temperature and then place it into an airtight container. It will last in the refrigerator for about 2 to 4 days.

You can either reheat the stuffing in the air fryer or the microwave.
