Pressure Cooker (Instant Pot) Apple Cinnamon Pressure Cooker Steel Cut Oats (Mini/3 Quart)
One of the easiest breakfasts you can make in the Instant Pot. Just in time for fall.
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 3 cups water
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 1 teaspon vanilla extract
Optional Toppings: Maple syrup, cashew butter, milk, fruit, etc.
Start by placing the butter into the Instant Pot Bowl.
Press the saute button.
Let the butter slightly melt, before you add the steel cut oats. By toasting them in the butter, they will bring out a nice nutty aroma and taste
Continue to roast, until all of the butter is melted.
Then add the water.
Set the timer for 3 minutes. on manual high pressure.
Let the Instant Pot do a natural release.
When the pressure has gone down and the lid is easily removed, remove the lid. Mix well.
Pour the steel-cut oatmeal into a large mixing bowl.
Mix in the diced apples, cinnamon, apple pie spice, and vanilla. Mix well.
Plate, serve and enjoy!
