Pancake Bake

This is a traditional pancake, but today I turned it into a casserole type of pancake by adding egg, water, and some ground cinnamon. I took a spin on the pancake mix, which I used as the base, and then added some fresh blueberries.

The result is a tender and moist pancake that has been perfectly cooked with the help of the air fryer.

I dusted my Air Fryer Blueberry Pancake Bake with powdered sugar, but you can serve it with a myriad of toppings.

Pancake Batter in Bowl

In a large mixing bowl, mix the pancake mix. The water is called for in the instruction for the mix, egg, water. Fold in the blueberries and ground cinnamon.

Spray with non-stick cooking spray or olive oil, your air fryer safe pan. Pour your mixture into the prepared pan. Set your temperature to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 10 to 12 minutes.

Can You Make This Pancake Bake Ahead?

Yes, this makes for a great make-ahead breakfast. You can prep this ahead of time and pour the pancake bake mix into a pan right before you want to air fry it up.

I would hold up on adding the fresh blueberries until you are about ready to air fry it up!

If you want to make this and then reheat it in the morning, that is another great option! You can either reheat it in the air fryer or the microwave. Heat until warmed through.

Can You Make Pancake Bake with Homemade Pancake Mix?

Yes, this is a great recipe. If you want to switch out for your homemade pancake mix, you will use the same recipe, and it will work perfectly.

Can You Make Blueberry Pancake Bake With Frozen Blueberries?

Yes, although I would keep them frozen until ready to air fry up. You do not want to thaw. Otherwise, your batter will change to a lovely blueberry color.

What Pan To Use For Air Fryer Blueberry Pancake Bake

When you want to bake in the air fryer, the most important item is the pan that you use.

I always recommend that you choose a thinner pan since the air fryer works by spinning hot air into the pan, causing it to bake up perfectly. If your pan is too thick, the middle part will not cook up, and you will end up with a raw center.

So, for best results, use a thinner pan or skillet for this recipe. The result will be a perfectly cooked Air Fryer Blueberry Pancake Bake.
