Instant Pot Apple Crisp is an easy Instant Pot dessert recipe made with a few ingredients and some diced-up apples.

This is one of the first desserts I made in my Instant Pot; it is so easy. I love a great and easy dessert recipe. Some of my favorites are Instant Pot Cheesecake or some Instant Pot Nutella Bites.

This reminds me of a copycat Cracker Barrel Fried Apple Dessert, but so much better, and so much easier than driving to a Cracker Barrel.

Some Common Questions Asked About Making Apple Crisp In The Instant Pot

WHAT TYPE OF APPLES ARE BEST FOR MAKING APPLES CRISP?

The best apples for apple crisp are firm apples, so they withstand the pressure cooking method. You also want your apples to have both sweet and tart flavors. Some of my favorites are Rome Beauty, Granny Smith, Fuji, Gravenstein, Jonagold, Crispin, or Winesap.

Using sweet apples will really reduce the amount of sugar that you need to add to the apple crisp.

HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER APPLE CRISP

If you have any leftovers, let the apple crisp cool to room temperature. Then place the leftovers into an airtight container.

If you are going to eat it the next day, you can safely leave it on your counter, but if you want to save it even longer, it’s best to get it in the refrigerator.  It will still need to be eaten within 4 to 5 days.

HOW TO REHEAT LEFTOVER APPLE CRISP

Apple crisp is meat to be served warm. So, add some of your leftovers, place them in a microwave-safe bowl, and reheat in the microwave.

If you do not have a microwave, you can reheat it back in the Instant Pot bowl. Just press the saute button and mix well while it heats up. It should only take a few minutes.

WHAT TO SERVE APPLE CRISP WITH

While the most classic and common topping is vanilla ice cream, a lot of toppings go really well on apple crisp; here are some of my favorites:

  • Caramel Sauce
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Raisins
